FREEDOM MILLS PRESENTS: QUEER LIVE

“Join us every first and final Thursday of the month for our 2024 THURSDAY LIVE programme, giving local talent their time to shine - First up all-queer lineup.”

DRAAGS, Fear of Marko and ihatenoise.

First up, LDS legends Draags - combining hardcore, punk, hip-hop, prog and dance, with theatrical vocals, screaming horns and heavy groovy rhythms. Their lyrics focus on social justice, alienation and dystopia in society, while attempting to allow listeners a safe space for release and much needed connection in these isolating times. Next up,"E-boy next door" FEAR OF MARKO joins us from the Manchester underground music scene.

Currently falling somewhere between hedonistic electro grunge rock and emo influenced pop, FEAR OF MARKO is making waves as a boundary breaking artist, as a QPOC with influences from his gritty working class background.

Thatenoise aka Teddy. Their name comes from the contradiction of always having sensitive ears, often having overloads when they were a kid - sometimes from music, yet there's not anything they're more passionate about. Expect mellow, expect aggressive, expect rap, expect singing, I don't know, anything could happen.
